Namaste

Namaste. My name is Nature (yes, that's my real name).

I started yoga practice in 2001 and came to love Ashtanga Yoga in 2003 at the Jagad Yoga Shala in Manila. In December 2009, I obtained my certificate from Centered Yoga Institute in Koh Samui, Thailand under Paul Dallaghan and Neil Barker. I have since continued to take special courses on Yoga Philosophy, Pranayama, and Asana. I started teaching in 2010.

Over the years, I had the wonderful opportunity to deepen my practice under Saraswathi and Sharath (Rangaswamy) Jois in KPJAYI Mysore, India and have been privileged to attend the workshops of beautiful and spirited Ashtanga teachers who have visited Manila  - Gregor Maehle, Govinda Kai, John Scott, Manuel Ferreira and Clayton Horton.

I also studied Yoga philosophy and texts with Professor Nagaraj Rao, M.A. Jayashree, Narasimha, and was blessed to attend lectures of A.G. Mohan and Indra Mohan.

Today, I continue my journey, deepening my practice.

After over 13 years of corporate life and a year and half of teaching full time,  I now work for a non-profit organization. I continue to share my yoga practice at Yoga Manila where I teach Ashtanga Yoga and Pre & Postnatal Yoga classes.

As part of my advocacy, I also conduct special yoga sessions for breast cancer survivors and seniors.

Aside from my yoga practice, I am also a Reiki practitioner and Master in the Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki lineage.

I am a lover of prose, poetry and the sea; a breast cancer survivor, wife to my best friend and surfing partner, and mother to two beautiful children.

For all the blessings, clear and disguised, I am grateful.

I am sharing small pieces of my journey in this blog, hoping that this helps in our unraveling.
